GIS for Urban Planning and Design

The first part of the workshop will provide a brief overview of how GIS can support urban

planning and design projects. It will also introduce some of the main Esri GIS solutions that can

support planning and design workflows.

The second part of the workshop includes a series of short demonstrations that will unpack a

workflow example – from site analysis to a fully detailed schematic proposal. The workflow will

leverage ArcGIS Pro, Business Analyst, ArcGIS Online (+ essential apps), ArcGIS CityEngine, and ArcGIS Urban for different parts of an urban design project.
