Integrated Workflows for AEC using Spatial Technology Stack powered by Open USD

Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) have collaboratively evolved expertise and proprietary technologies at the intersection of spatial user-experience, interaction, and design with computational technologies of algorithmic 3D geometry creation, game3D & MMO, and user-analytics. A so-called Spatial Technology Stack (STS), that is aligned with the Architectural Geometry, computer graphics and game industry is helping us at ZHA to deliver projects which draw from historical wisdom and provide Integrated design, construction and ecological benefits.

This course overviews an introduction to such a collaborative multi author AEC workflows across multiple software platforms like Autodesk Maya, McNeel Rhinoceros and NVIDIA Omniverse, powered by STS and Open USD. This workshop will offer participants hands-on exploration of custom collaborative design and data visualisations workflows built using Open USD.  After the demonstration, participants will gain insights into how such workflows are used at Zaha Hadid Architects to deliver projects ranging from pavilion scale to masterplans.
