About the Course
This hands-on, half-day workshop introduces designers, creatives, and architects to ComfyUI—a powerful, node-based interface for controlling AI image generation workflows. Participants will learn how to build modular, repeatable visual systems to generate conceptual architectural images using ComfyUI.
We will begin by unpacking the basics of diffusion models and ComfyUI’s interface, then move into custom workflows for generating architectural forms, materials, and moods. Through curated nodes and prompt engineering, attendees will experiment with storytelling-based image sequences, site-sensitive visualizations, and iterative concept studies.
By the end of the session, participants will have created their own small image series or “prompt prototype” and leave with the foundational skills to continue experimenting independently. No prior coding experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment with new tools for design ideation.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand the core logic and interface of ComfyUI
Learn how to use prompts and nodes for architectural storytelling
Build and save modular workflows for iterative design visualization
Gain confidence in integrating AI into early-stage design thinking
